The Tarp itself is a product made of high-quality materials and well finished. However, the length of 3 meters is not quite enough to protect the DD Frontline Hammock, especially if it happens to be windy in addition to rain. With that combination, your toes or head might get wet. I recommend a Tarp of at least 3.5x3.5 size as a Frontline companion. In addition, I recommend getting decent mounting wedges, as the sticks that come with the Tarp are quite unlucky, as well as a long piece of paracord, as the Tarp does not come with brush cord.

I did little with this and the Ultralight version but still ended up with this for the sake of affordability. Sturdy and high quality fabric and I like the numerous fastening loops. 4/5 stars just because the tarpa is quite large and heavy when packed. Definitely a top product for shorter trips and cottage chores. For longer hikes, I’ll probably come up with a more compact fabric to save space.

A basic tarpa that can handle even bad weather. For heavier use, I think it's worth using a bigger cover, which makes the protection more versatile. Not the lightest to carry, but a fairly durable act. The included wedges and strings are worth updating if you are thinking about hiking. With the updated fasteners, there is no problem with the gap staying in place even in windy weather, keeping the carpet dry when installed correctly.

A good basic need for hammocks. Protect from rain, wood dripping and the sun. There are plenty of attachment points, so there are plenty of tuning options. Price vs. weight vs. durability, I think, are all right: even lighter needs can be found, but then they either cost more or seem to break down on first use. The wedges that came with are just those normal bent pieces of iron wire. There were 4 pieces of string included to get started. However, I recommend getting a little heavier wedges at the same time and some kind of paracord or similar to make the attachments easier.
