exped mattresses are quite simply the top of the travel equipment market today. ultra compact and light, easily transportable, very quickly inflated and deflated, comfortable in any situation! I had the 7LW before, over time the need for even more comfort made me opt for 2cm more comfort, without compromise! I advise anyone without a doubt!

Awesome mat! Just used it on snow in a tent -> warm and comfortable night.

I tested the mat at -17c, perfect sleep and very warm. Very good product, except weight. But...👍🏻

High-quality sleeping pad, and really soft. None seem to sleep on hard ground, even though I weigh over 90 pounds and sleep on my side. Filling is quick with a dry bag (must be purchased separately), and then a few more presses with the integrated pump to get the sleeping pad full. I like that the sleeping pad is packed so small, such a short butt is a conveniently sized and shaped backpack.

Very comfortable mattress. The small irregularities of the platform are not even noticed. The quality of sleep was clearly better compared to cellular plastic.
The downside is the pump system, which works poorly in the cold. The elasticity of the foam of the pump decreases, and the pump does not mean to get air inside the mattress. Pretty big minus for a mattress for winter use. In the warmth it works flawlessly. That is, if you are looking for a mattress for winter use, I recommend the xp model.

The fillings, already new, are very unevenly distributed. In the middle there is little more than fabric, all down at the ends. I took it back as a warranty complaint, but the complaint was not accepted: it took three weeks to get the answer that I had to actually spread the down somehow by jumping on the platform. I just don’t know how it should be bounced so that I can get down to stay in the middle of the platform. A bad investment, therefore, would think that the most expensive model in the range is then also high quality. I really can't recommend.

Really warm and comfortable.
The only downside was the integrated pump. It was quite closed when it was -20 degrees (no, I have never blown moist air directly into the mattress). Luckily, Exped's Schnozzel Pumpbag was included with which I got air into the mattress without having to blow directly. It would be a good idea to leave out the entire integrated pump cassette and save a little weight.

First impressions of Exped Downmat 9 LW ...
+ Extremely comfortable camping mattress. I slept on this mattress for about 20 nights and it tastes good every time.
+ The mattress is really thick and insulates well.
+ The mattress is also quite wide, so even in a more drowsy sleep, the driver does not turn easily off the mattress.
+ Suitable for longer sleepers.
+ Compared to cellular plastic or similar sleeping mats, it packs into a rather small space.
- Relatively heavy.
- Due to its length and width, it may not be suitable for any tent or other wilderness accommodation.
- Filling the mattress with an integrated pump takes time, but the right technology makes it easier in this area as well.
There are other options (in addition to the pump above) for filling the mattress, but it is not advisable to inflate this mattress by blowing.

Pikkanen's contradictory product, experience with the older Downmat 9 DLX and this newer.
9 The DLX is really comfortable, warm and quick to fill even in the cold (the carrying bag acts as a pump and even as a pillow, but the downs gradually moved unevenly inside the chassis and it ran out of comfort. only normal wear! Was about 25 times used!
This newer model looks handy, but I think it fills up slowly in the frost, because even in the summer, when pressed by a protective bag, it takes a long time to get the pump part fluffy enough for pumping!
