The mattress is very comfortable, the back doesn't hurt in the morning and you can also lie on your side on the mattress without pain or numbness (60 kg person who sleeps). The mattress hasn't been used on particularly cold nights yet, but it hasn't worn out on warm nights either. I used the separately purchased Expedin "pump" for filling, it took a painfully long time for the mattress to fill itself and with the integrated pump. The mattress is quite loud when turning the side, even a sound sleeper woke up with a snort.

A product bought on the recommendation of a friend, and it was not an unnecessary recommendation. A working product, at least for a late summer hike in the Norwegian fells. The mattress can be filled in less than 5 minutes with the integrated pump. Emptying is easy by opening the outlet valve and rolling the mattress up. The heat insulation with a soft feel is very good and the mattress's sufficient height/softness prevented the hips from aching at night. In the future, this will be part of my hiking equipment both in summer and winter and will replace the previous 2 cm thick air mattress. The product also included a repair kit and a storage bag.

Functional sleeping pad. It may be that in winter a 9 cm mattress would be better. On the other hand, below it is good to use a foam protective substrate that increases the insulation. I just got a mattress and one winter hike has been done. At least the cold in the tent did not come from the ground.

So Downmat is but the best. Clearly more comfortable to sleep than Synmat or other cheaper products. More comfortable than most box beds that you wouldn't bother to take on a trip anyway. Even at home, I prefer to sleep on Downmat. In addition, the thermal insulation of the sleeping pad is most important in the winter when staying outdoors if the akka throws in the yard, and this is exactly the strength of Downmat. Select Downmat so there is no need to change the battery.

The third such vessel in use, the two previous ones disintegrated after two years of use in the same way: the seam between the two longitudinal "air chambers" banged open. The air remained inside, but the profile changed so much that the platform no longer slept. Fortunately, the warranty is good. Without this annoying "type defect" I would give vitosen because the base is warm, convenient to use and goes into a small space. After my current experience, I give a third. Maybe the third time you really say that?

Really nice rug, warm too.
However, in heavier frosts (-30) I have used a 13 mm cellular mattress pad underneath and a really thick sheepskin pad on top, so I can't quite say how hard it is to be alone with the under / under protection.
A couple of annoying features, just in harder frosts when you're in a shed, etc.: That in itself great pump works a bit slowly at the beginning, because it doesn't recover so efficiently, the foam inside, etc. gets a little stiff.
Another thing that really comes out even in harder frosts is opening the “caps” with cumbersome fingers .. the plastic caps harden quite hard, and it’s quite challenging to open because you can’t get a proper grip on that plus the base plate.
Someone found pumping to be laborious, as I myself did at that odds. However, it gives a nice moment of gymnastics, and warms up the awkward walker when pumping the mat full ..
Personally, I use the tactics of pumping about 70-75 in “summer weather”, so I leave the platform a little soft, which makes it really comfortable to sleep. Just like sleeping at home with Yankee bed springs .. 👍
Definitely one of my best equipment purchases!
