Right from the start, I have to say that Salomon's shoes have always fit my feet, as if they had already been driven in for a couple of hundred kilometers. That's why the choice fell on that brand. Haglöfs' really sturdy long-handled hiking boots were also included on the hike. Perfect, for example, when thinking about Norwegian rock. The trails hit such a terrain where there were no big rocks to cross, so I wore Salomon shoes for the whole week. I would describe these as a perfect partner when thinking about trails, roads and rough terrain. 10 kilometers passed with 15 kilos on my back without noticing and without a break. The shoe therefore "rolls" really nicely thanks to its curved sole. My hiking pants have a waterproof part below the knee and a decent calf tightening, so I crossed the river with Salomon's in between, sinking halfway down, but the socks stayed very dry. The fear was that the next day I would find "new muscles", i.e. muscle pains due to the change in walking style, but no. All in all, a great shoe even with a load for easy terrain. There were clearly more easy kilometers on the day trips. In the back of my mind, I hope that Salomon continues to make this type of shoe for years to come, because this shoe is my absolute choice. The shoe may feel drenched when walking in a wetland, but that's only because the material is relatively thin and the water in the outer shell of the shoe feels so cool that you think the inside of the shoe is wet. When I got used to this idea, it was actually nice that the shoe stayed cool. So I didn't even sweat in the sock. A strong recommendation if the last is suitable for you.
