Product description

Koko setin paino alle 1,0 kg.

Bushmen Ultralight Hammock:

Bushmen Ultralight Hammock might be the lightest on the market full-size, 3m x 1.45m hammock. It weighs only 150g. Ultralight micro-ripstop 15D nylon is convenient, breathable, and pleasant to the touch, which ensures comfortable rest. It is also very strong. With its extremely low weight, the hammock can hold loads up to 130kg. The green color blends into the natural surroundings. If you are fed up with every unnecessary gram you need to carry with you, hammock ULTRALIGHT is a real treat for you.

Tensioning system
The set includes two 3mm Dyneema cords with a tensioning system, the so-called Whoopie slings. They allow easy to hang the hammock. It is enough to hook the ear of the tensioning system by passing it through the hammock loop. Then, insert the tightening tension loop into the target mounting location.
Finally, adjust the position of the hammock using the whoopie slings and… conveniently arrange yourself in the hammock.

Accessories
For greater comfort, we added a ridgeline with a mesh pocket. Thank you that your valuable items will be always with you. During the journey, you can keep your tensioning system, ridgeline, and any other items in your pocket and know that nothing is lost. If you are in a hurry and you do not have time to pack the hammock into the bag or the hammock is still damp, you can always push it into the mesh pocket. The pocket is almost twice as large as the hammock bag, so it is easier to dry the hammock. Then put the accessories in the bag of the hammock. It will probably not be very elegant, but it is fast and practical. In the middle, the hammock has a loop on which you can hang the bag (e.g. from a tarp). You can keep there some small items such as glasses or others that did not fit into your pocket.

Bag
Ultralight hammock is packed into a tiny bag with clever construction. The cover combines the advantages of a traditional bag and the “BISHOP-BAG” type cover. One hammock loop passes through a specially reinforced hole in the bottom of the bag. For this reason, the hammock is intuitively easy to unfold – like from a “sleeve”. It is also easy to pack – like a traditional bag. At the bottom of the bag, there is an additional loop, which can be used as a safety measure. It prevents the hammock from getting lost. Last but not least – having packed the hammock into the bag, its dimensions are 15 x 5,5cm. That is the size of a can with a capacity of 350ml.

Bushmen Vagabond Mosquito net:

Ultra-light insect protection – only 220g. You can use it both with a mattress and a hammock.

Maximum dimensions:

  • hammock 3,3m x 1,5m
  • mattress 2m x 0,6m

Vagabond mosquito net is a 220g of a well-designed net that protects you from insects both when you sleep on a mattress and in a hammock. Finally, without uninvited guests like ticks in your hair or earwigs. And most importantly, without buzzing, itchy, biting insects.

Construction
Vagabond mosquito net – The most important part is a mesh designed to tightly wrap a hammock or mattress. Dense mesh with a diameter of 0,7mm guarantees full safety not only against mosquitoes, ticks, and worms but even against blackflies. Eylets diameter – 0,7mm – it means 196/cm2.

The main hole – entrance

When entering the hammock or lying on the mattress you can close the entrance hole with a welt tightly around the sides of the hammock or mattress. In that way, you will create effective protection against mosquitoes. The nylon hem prevents trash from sticking and significantly increases the durability of the mosquito net. The other two openings are at the top of the mosquito net. They are used to set up the attached ridgeline and the ropes for hanging the hammock. Ridgeline is a string with adjustable tension on which the mosquito net is hung, it makes the ridge of the roof. The ridgeline has a unique system of adjusting it after entering the hammock. You can perfectly tighten it so that the mosquito net is as high as possible. Both entry and exit are very easy. Release the puller and lift the mosquito net up.

Use the Vagabond mosquito net on a hammock:

When you will already hang the hammock, place the mosquito net loosely on the hammock.

  1. set-up the ridgeline between the hammock carabiners.
  2. Pass the ridgeline and the hammock rope through the holes at the top of the mosquito.
  3. Attach the ends of the mosquito net to the carabiner and close the holes by welts.

Done – we enter / exit the hammock by loosening the welt and lifting the mosquito net.

While lying in a hammock:

  1. Tighten the ridgeline so you will lift up the mosquito net to the optimal height.
  2. Pull the welt located in the apron at the bottom of the mosquito net – to close it

The Vagabond mosquito net is suitable for hammocks up to 3.3 m in length.

Use the Vagabond mosquito net on the mattress:

You can also use the mosquito net as protection against all kinds of bugs on the ground. When you will set up the mattress, quilt/sleeping bag, tarp, etc.

  1. Pass the ridgeline through the slot of the bag and a through the other end of the mosquito net.
  2. Set-up the ridgeline mosquito net between the poles, about 60 cm high (+/- at knee height) (under the tarp if we use it)
  3. Pull the apron of the mosquito net tightly around the mattress so that the apron is at the bottom of the mattress.
  4. Done – go in / out under the mosquito net by loosening the welt and lifting the mosquito net.

Bushmen Ultralight Tarp 3 x 3 m:
If you are fed up with every unnecessary gram you need to carry with you, Ultralight Tarp 3×3 is a real gain for you. It’s one of the absolutely lightest on the market full-size (3mx3m) tarp. It weighs only 480g (just tarp)!

It works well as an element of ultralight equipment for a walker, as well as a bicycle tourist, canoeist, etc. Generally, if you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is absolutely the equipment for you. When it is packed, the tarp takes very little space – as much as 1l bottle.

Can be pitched in many ways due to the convenient layout of the loop. It provides convenience and protection in every situation. Using the surroundings (trees, rocks, depressions) and trekking poles, paddles, bicycles, or just sticks, you can create a great tent perfectly adjusted to the location and weather. In extremely bad weather, you can create an “assault tent” in a few moments. Such a shelter fully insulates both from the ground and from every other side. Excellent protection when using a hammock (e.g. BushBed™ hammock). It can be used, for example, as a roof covering to protect against rain and wind.

Specially designed loops are much easier to use than classic ones. The characteristic clearance between the loop tapes not only makes it easier to work in difficult conditions but also allows the tape to better fit around the lashings. An inconspicuous change in the construction of the loop also allows for better/wider distribution forces acting on the tarp edges. For this reason, we could resign from sewn reinforcements on the sides without losing strength. The loops on the corners are the most exposed to overloading, therefore we left traditional reinforcements, thanks to which our tarps are even stronger.

What’s important – the set includes 6 cords with unique tensioners. For this reason, the correct tarp tensioning is quite simple and can be done directly at the tarp loops. The tensioners are fastened to the loops currently in use simply by hooking them on the loop. The loops and the tensioners are matched to each other. Having hooked, the tensioner holds perfectly. This solution allows using the tensioners where they are needed and are not an unnecessary tarp load. To attach the pullers, simply select the cable on the tensioner to obtain the desired tarp tension.

The bag, in which the tarp is put, is equipped with handles and loops. They are placed both along and on the bottom of the bag. The handles allow you to comfortably attach the tarp sack to your backpack without fear of accidentally slipping during transport. They make it easy to carry and remove from places such as a kayak’s beak or just between different luggage. In addition, by interweaving the hammock’s ridgeline with the loops, the bag can be used as a convenient pocket for things that you want to have at hand. Having folded the sheet, it takes up very little space, it fits in a 1l bag. The size of 20 x 10 x 10 cm allows it to be put in the outer pocket of the backpack.
  • The tarp is sewn using 100% waterproof ultralight 15D silnylon reinforced with a micro rip-stop
  • The waterproof silicone layer provides immunity up to 3500mm H2O
  • There are 16 characteristic loops arranged around and 3 through the middle of the tarp. This is what the tarp should have :-)
  • The middle sewing line and the loops are reinforced and secured with special black tape. The tape is hot-welded, and therefore, it permanently bonds with the silicone layer creating a strong watertight ridge
  • This technology ensures that the tarp is fully waterproof and strengthened at this point
  • As added 6 pulling lines (3m each) with the tensioning system and a bag with transport handles

Light as hell. If you haven't played around with these, some parts can cause confusion, so it's worth trying before you go on a trip.

Not tried yet, but the size and light weight as well as the simple suspension device still result in 4 stars!

This set has the most important elements. There is no webbing and carabiners included, but if you are really light weight traveling, using toggles is the lighter option. I already have lightweight one piece webbings/woopie slings, so I don’t use the woopie slings that comes with the hammock, but they are good quality and very lightweight as well.
