Ski boots in a nutshell:

Fischer's, Alpina's, Rossignol's and Madshus' ski boots are compatible with the NNN system. Therefore they go well also with the Prolink and Turnamic bindings.
Salomon SNS pairs only with the Salomon SNS-binding.
Salomon's Prolink -ski boot goes with the NNN bind and the Salomon Prolink bind.

Boots for classic style and skate style are very different. Ski boots for skate style offer massive support for your ankles and are quite hard on the outside where classic style ski boots are with a more comfortable fit (yet supportive as well).
