The Sarca Valley runs between Trento and Arco and features some truly amazing limestone walls up to 1000ft in height. The guide is published in English throughout, is illustrated with full colour photo-topos and action shots as well as some more traditional hand drawn style topos and describes in detail both classic (trad protection) and modern (sport / bolted) routes - other information on accommodation, weather, and equipment is also provided.
This is the third edition of the only complete guide to the multi-pitch routes around Arco, a publication which is the result of the protagonists of climbing in the Sarca Valley.
Compared with the previous 2007 edition 200 more routes have been added, of every type and difficulty. In all there are around 520 descriptions! A good number, considering they are routes, on average, between 200 and 300 metres long.
As in the previous two editions the author has contributed his own sketches which have been completely updated, with precise historical and logistical notes as well as a full evaluation of the beauty and difficulty of the itinerary. Finally some protagonists, both past and present, of the Valley have added to the guide by recounting briefly their emotions and adventures experienced on the Sarca walls.
